PlantWorx 2025 has announced finalists for its Innovation Awards (www.plantworx.co.uk) across nine categories. The awards ceremony takes place September 23, 2025, following the opening day of the UK’s largest working construction show at Newark Showground.
Industry experts including publication editors and technical managers evaluated submissions across categories focused on sustainability, safety, and technology innovation.

Sustainability Categories Dominate
Four categories address environmental concerns and alternative power solutions. The Sustainability Initiative category includes energy management systems and zero-emissions construction projects.
Flannery and BAM received recognition in the Special Achievement Award for Leadership in Sustainability and Alternative Power. Both companies invested in cleaner equipment and low-carbon strategies.

The Engineering & Technology Innovation category includes hydraulic recycling vacuum buckets and specialized welding equipment. These solutions target operational efficiency improvements.
Alternative power solutions and emissions reduction technologies appear across multiple categories. Finalists include companies developing battery-powered equipment and hybrid construction vehicles.
Workforce Development Programs
Training and development initiatives earned recognition through several finalist selections. Programs include prison-based construction training and simulator learning systems.
Security and safety innovations feature in dedicated categories. Solutions range from equipment monitoring systems to worker safety technologies.
Industry Priorities Reflected
The category structure reflects current construction industry priorities. Environmental responsibility receives equal weight with operational efficiency and safety concerns.
